| Description | Looking South at the junction of the Ivaí river (left) onto the Paraná (right) from the Querência do Norte county in Paraná State, Brazil. Ivaí river is flowing from left to right and is carried out and squeezed by the waters of Paraná, which runs Southward. Presence of small, medium, and large scale vortices due to hydrodynamic instability effects are made evident due to the wavy interface between each river's waters. |
