BIOGRAPHIE Lang/Baumann est constitué de Sabina Lang, née en Suisse en 1972 et de Daniel Baumann, né en 1967 à San Francisco. Basé en Suisse, le duo collabore depuis 1990 sous le nom de Lang/Baumann ou L/B. Dans une esthétique post moderne inspirée des années 70, L/B multiplie les interventions urbaines (peinture au sol, papier peint, micro-architecture, mobilier), créant des environnements fonctionnels, confortables et ingénieux tels la chambre d’hôtel Hotel Everland conçue dans une structure mobile et atterrie sur le toit du Palais de Tokyo en 2007.

LE PROJET :

Sur la façade de l’école primaire du 75-77 boulevard de Belleville, la pièce Comfort#4 conçue en 2007 pour la Villa du Parc d’Annemasse est réactivée pour Nuit Blanche. D’énormes tubes gonflés par le souffle de ventilateurs relient par l’extérieur une fenêtre à une autre. Greffée sur l’édifice, cette étonnante structure anime la façade de motifs géométriques, métamorphosant le paysage urbain.
