Français : Légende originale : "Une reliure macabre : un exemplaire des Géorgiques, avec plats en peau humaine"

Photographie d'une reliure couvrant un exemplaire de la traduction française en vers, par Jacques Delille, des "Géorgiques" de Virgile. Chacun des plats inclurait, en son centre, un lambeau de peau de Delille, subtilisé par Aimé Leroy à Paris en 1813 lors des opérations d'embaumement de Delille. Le livre était encore conservé par les descendants d'Aimé Leroy dans les années 1940. (Bibliopégie anthropodermique)

English: Photograph of the binding of a French translation of Virgil's "Georgics" by Jacques Delille, with fragments of Delille's skin inserted in the covers. The two pieces of skin were stolen by Aimé Leroy in Paris, in 1813, during the embalming process of Delille. The book was still in Leroy family in 1940s. (Anthropodermic bibliopegy)
