Summary[edit]
DescriptionFrench Translation of Virgil's Georgics by Jacques Delille, bound in the skin of Delille (anthropodermic book) (cropped).jpg |
The two pieces of skin were stolen by Aimé Leroy in Paris, in 1813, during the embalming process of Delille. The book was still in Leroy family in 1940s. (Anthropodermic bibliopegy) |
