Description
English: Gazing at the milky way at the Pannecière lake, in the Morvan National Park, France. Taken at the very end of August 2019, when Saturn was in opposition and hence very bright (next to my right hand). Although generally speaking, Morvan, maybe the darkest place in France, has little light pollution, this picture shows a lot of it because of the small village of Château-Chinon and because of the very long exposition.
Français : Le ciel du Morvan au dessus du lac de Pannecière le soir du 31 août, aux alentours de 23h. Vue vers le sud, avec le centre galactique, le centre de notre galaxie, en bas à droite. Comme le système solaire est en périphérie de la galaxie, le centre galactique est bien plus lumineux et donc la voie lactée est plus visible en regardant vers le sud. Le point lumineux à droite de ma main droite est Saturne, qui se trouve être en opposition au moment de la prise de vue (la Terre est située entre Saturne et le soleil, donc elle est pleinement éclairée et très lumineuse). Même si on aperçoit la pollution lumineuse de Château-Chinon en bas de cette photo, le Morvan est probablement un des endroits les plus sombres et donc une des meilleures zones pour observer les étoiles en France.
