    Українська: На фотографії зображений гігантський буревісник (Macronectes giganteus), що відпочиває на прибережних скелях серед залишків танучого льоду на острові Галіндез наприкінці антарктичного літа. Така поведінка є типовою для цього періоду сезону, коли зменшується льодовий покрив, а птахи проводять більше часу на суші, відновлюючи енергетичні ресурси після активного живлення та тривалих перельотів над Південним океаном. Фото ілюструє перехідний стан прибережної екосистеми між літнім і осіннім режимами в умовах Антарктики.
    English: The photograph shows a southern giant petrel (Macronectes giganteus) resting on coastal rocks among remnants of melting ice on Galindez Island at the end of the Antarctic summer. This behavior is typical for this seasonal period, when ice cover decreases and birds spend more time on land, replenishing energy reserves after intensive feeding and long flights over the Southern Ocean. The image illustrates a transitional state of the coastal ecosystem between summer and autumn regimes under Antarctic conditions.
