Summary[edit]

Description
English: Glacial overflow channel This steep sided (and in places craggy) valley is just below its watershed and has no stream flowing through it at present. It was probably formed towards the end of the last ice age by torrents of water escaping from the melting glaciers. Further down the small Backharn Burn develops, but its present size is too small to have eroded such a substantial valley.
