3845. Grave stele. Marble. Found in Vari. Attica, in the area of the ancient deme of Anagyrous. A standing girl to right offers with her left hand a bird to a young naked boy that sits up to catch it. The epigram on the epistyle indicates that the memorial was erected by the parents of the two siblings, Mnesagora and Nikochares. ca. 420 BC. National Archaeological Museum, Athens, Greece --- 3045. Επιτύμβια στήλη. Μάρμαρο. Βρέθηκε στη Βάρη Αττικής, στην περιοχή του αρχαίου δήμου Αναγυρούντος. Μία κόρη όρθια προς τα δεξιά με το αριστερό της χέρι πουλάκι σε μικρό γυμνό αγόρι, που ανασηκώνεται από το έδαφος για να το πιάσει. Όπως αναφέρει το χαραγμένο στο επιστύκιο επίγραμμα, το μνημείο είχαν στήσει οι γονείς των δύο αδελφών, της Μνησαγόρας και του Νικοχάρους. Γύρω στο 420 π.Χ. Εθνικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο. Αθήνα. |
