Summary[edit]

Description
English: Unknown group, possibly members of the local Elks Club, poses for a picture at the King Street Station in Seattle.

In 1912 the Elks held their national convention in Portland, OR. Perhaps this was the Seattle Elks before they boarded a train to the 1912 convention.

Compare to similar view in 2010 on Flickr; however, that view is from a bit further south and faces east, whereas this view faces west.

The Engine on the right is Northern Pacific number 2185. A Pacific type, 4-6-2, built in 1909. It was scrapped in Tacoma in October 1951.
