Deutsch: Kunstwerk von Fritz Voirol (1887 - 1928), Schweizer Maler. Aquarell auf Papier, von Grunewald, 33 × 24cm, gemalen 1910.

Fritz Voirol verlebte seine Jugendzeit in Basel. Von 1904 - 1907 absolvierte er die Gewerbeschule in Basel und trat anschliessend in die Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München im Fach Zeichnen ein.Seine Lehrer waren Peter von Halm (1854 - 1923), der Radier- und Maltechnik lehrte und Franz von Stuck (1863 - 1928). Letzterer war mit Arnold Böcklin befreundet und unterrichtete unter anderen Wassily Kandinsky und Paul Klee.Fritz Voirol wurde am Anfang sehr durch den Pointillismus (1889-1911) beeinflusst, hat das was da Seurat, Degas, Monet, Manet an Lichtverarbeitung und Technik gebracht haben, sehr gut verstanden und weiterentwickelt, zeitgleich mit Vincent van Gogh, Camille Pissarro. Er war mit diesen bekannten Malern auch befreundet.1911 kehrte er nach Basel zurück und erteilte an der Oberrealschule Zeichenunterricht. Darauf unternahm er einen Studienaufenthalt in Paris und erlangte anschliessend das Zeichenlehrerdiplom.Von 1914 - 1922 war er als Zeichenlehrer am Institut Minerva in Zürich tätig und wechselte darauf an die Gewerbeschule Olten, wo er bis 1928 blieb.Fritz Voirol malte vorwiegend naturnahe Landschaften aus dem Baselbiet und dem Engadin. Er war auch ein begabter Aquarellist.
