Description
English: Halfway House pub At 229 Rotherhithe New Road SE16. Original was demolished to make for the railway and the owners insisted on the new one being built on the exact same site. It was and formed an arch with trains running feet above those asleep in bed. Pub in image 1835 to 1967. Previously called the 'Railway Tavern'.
