Description
English: These images were taken by Thomas T. Hammond during his trip to the Soviet Union. This specific image features an aerial view of Moscow from the tower of Ukraina Hotel. The empty lot between two large building on Smolenskaya Embankmnent would later became the site of the British Embassy.
Русский: Вид Смоленской набережной (от Нового Арбата до метромоста) и центра Москвы с башни гостиницы "Украина". Хорошо видны домики, когда-то стоявшие не месте нынешнего британского посольства и прямо на набережной близ Новоарбатского моста (сам он за рамкой кадра).
