English: Herringbone pebbles, Llanerchaeron Part of the pebbled courtyard in front of the carriage house in the home farm complex at Llanerchaeron.(Wales)The courtyard enclosed by the stable and carriage range (built in the very beginning of the nineteenth century and listed grade II by the BLB) is set with pitched stones in herring-bone patterns which are not only decorative but help the water to run off rapidly. |
