früher war die Ebene übersät von hunderten kleiner Windmühlen die die Bewässerungspumpen antrieben- von hier oben sah die Ebene aus wie eine Wiese mit vielen weißen Blumen. Heute sieht man nur noch die Stümpfe der Windmühlen wie verdorrte Stängel aufragen - die Bewässerung erfolgt mit elektrisch betriebenen Pumpen. Früher war die Hochebene wegen der vielen Windräder eine Touristenattraktion - jetzt sieht es so aus. Ich kannte es aus den 70er Jahren und wollte es meiner Frau zeigen - aber das war alles was es noch zu sehen gab - sieht eher aus wie ein texanisches Ölfeld ;-( Ob die elektrischen Pumpen unterm Strich so viel mehr gebracht haben? Die Touristen werden jedenfalls wegbleiben. |
