English: Haus Veerkamp (today BürgerHaus Veerkamp) in Hopsten, Kreis Steinfurt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is listed as a cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Haus Veerkamp (heute BürgerHaus Veerkamp), Marktstraße 1 in Hopsten, Kreis Steinfurt, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland. Das doppelgeschossige Traufenhaus stammt aus dem Jahr 1808. Errichtet vom damaligen Bürgermeister Josef Wilhelm Veerkamp als neuer Amtssitz, wurde das Haus später nach ihm benannt. 1958 erwarb die Gemeinde Hopsten die Villa und nutzte sie für die unterschiedlichsten Zwecke. Nachdem es 1985 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt worden war, wurde das Gebäude ab 1986 in eine öffentliche Begegnungsstätte umgebaut und im September 1988 als BürgerHaus Veerkamp eingeweiht. Seitdem steht es Bürgern, Vereinen und Gruppen der Gemeinde für kulturelle und gesellschaftliche Zwecke zur Verfügung. Im Obergeschoss befindet sich die heimatkundliche Sammlung der Gemeinde Hopsten, und das restaurierte Kaminzimmer dient dem Standesamt Hopsten als Trauzimmer.
