This Pillar
was erected by
Michael Hoy
On the southern face it reads This tablet was erected by
William Henry Dawes
Late Lieutenant of H.M. 22nd Reg In honour of those brave men of
the allied armies
who fell on the Alma
at Inkermann
and at the siege of Sevastapol A.D. 1857see 781861 and 781870 |
