Description
English: Bronze statue of 'The kneeling Jew', part of Cenotaph against War and Fascsism, by Alfred Hrdlicka, on Albertinaplatz, Vienna, Austria.
(After Anschluss, jews were sometimes forced to clean up streets, even with tooth brushes. More that once, this memorial was not understood by tourists [who even sat down on it] which prompted the artist to add barbed wire, eventually.)
