^OUGH Luck ! No more need be said! Surely fate must have been against us, theJunior Team, for after all our hard and faithful practice we were not able tocarry off the championship. But just the same we came mighty near it, for weconquered the Freshmen and the Sophomore Teams. So indeed we cherishedhigh hopes—that is, until the A-B Game, which proved to us that we had beenover-confident. Alas, we were embarrassingly humbled by the senior team. Although we were defeated this year we have accomplished much since thetime when we were Sophomores. In our entire first two years of experience wewon but one game. Next year if the team continues its fine co-operation andthe rest of the girls continue to turn out and root for us with as much enthu-siasm as they yelled Juniors Rah this year we will certainly come out vic-toriously. We can at least cheer up and feel that something—victory of course,is awaiting us and so Here is to the hopeful and still confident team of 19. L. L. V. 19. ( 155

A LTHOUGH the C Grade this year did not come out with flying colors,-^^ nevertheless they did better than last year. The first game was with theSeniors, who conquered the Sophomores last year and kept up their reputationthis year by doing the same with a score of 13-9. Our next game was with the Juniors, who humbled us greatly by a score of11-6. Our last but indeed not our least game was a victory, for the Freshieswere vanquished. Our record seems to show that we were weak because of a lack of enthu-siasm. But we believe in the motto of dont give up the ship and this keptus out of last place. Form seemed to rule the destiny of each center-ball team, as the race endedA-B-C-D. Therefore as we
