English: Humber Bank Photo taken at the old brickworks wharf. The large concrete block in the foreground looks very similar to those used to anchor barrage balloons in WW2 although I cannot find any confirmation on the 17 Balloon Centre webpage http://www.17balloons.co.uk/index.html dealing with the Humber Estuary defences that any were based at this site. |
