English: Short Bomber, two seat long range reconnaissance-bomber biplane. Early production version with short fuselage. Built by Mann, Egerton & Co Ltd This aircraft, No. 9476 was the first 250hp Rolls-Royce-powered Short bomber to be completed by Mann, Egerton & Co of Norwich, before the drastic steps had been taken at Shorts to lengthen the type's fuselage. After modification it became one of the aircraft transferred to the RFC in mid-1916. |
