Deutsch: HUMPEN, bemaltes Glas (1594). Das Motiv des sog. Reichsadlerhumpens, ein doppelköpfiger Reichsadler, dessen Flügel mit Wappenschilden der weltlichen und geistlichen Kurfürstentümer besetzt sind, galt als populäres Erklärungsmodell für den Aufbau des Hl. Römischen Reichs. In den Ausstellungsräumen Rathaus Duderstadt.
English: TANKARD, painted glas (1594). The motif of the so-called imperial eagle tankard, a double-headed Imperial eagle, whose wings are aggrandised with coats of arms of the secular and ecclesiastical Electrorates, was considered the popular explanatory model for the development of the Holy Roman Empire. In the exhibition rooms at Rathaus Duderstadt.
