Description

Das klösterliche Zentrum der Insel Reichenau im Bodesee stand im Ort Mittelzell. Hier gründete bereits der hl. Pirmin seine erste kleine Kirche, hier ließ Kaiser Otto III. im Jahr 995 eine prächtige Pfalz errichten, und hier entstand bis 1048 das heutige Münster, das in eine kleine Parkanlge eingebettet ist. Im inneren beeindrucken vor allem die romanischen Bögen und die Wucht des Dachstuhls, für den einige Eichen immerhin bereits 1236 gefällt wurden.\-

Nur der Hochnebel war bis A. D. 2007 um 14.03 Uhr immer noch nicht verschwunden.
