Description
English: Born Joseph Michael Walsh on June 27, 1982 to Theresa and Michael Walsh in Connersville, IN. Joe attended Franklin County High School and upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Joe served his four years as an Avionics Technician and enrolled in college shortly before his contract was finished. He graduated from UMUC with a bachelors degree in history, minoring in political science. February 14, 2009 Joe married Shannon Walsh. Just two months later, he enlisted in the United States Army. He completed Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning Georgia and went on to BOLC and BOLC II for Field Artillery at the Fires Center of Excellence in Ft. Still Oklahoma. Joe served in the Army as a Field Artillery Officer until 2015. Together with his wife and four children, Joe moved back to Indiana. They made their home in Brownsburg, IN where Joe entered a management position with a private sector business. Joe has served in management since his separation from the military. In 2020, Joe decided to run for Hendricks County Commissioner for district 2. His hobbies include playing guitar, playing Madden against his teenage son, reading ordinances and thoroughfare plans, studying local politics, volunteering with a local democratic club, and actively advocating for disability rights as two of Joe's children are disabled.
