English: Jeanne-Françoise Julie Adélaïde Récamier (4 December 1777–11 May 1849), known as Juliette, was a French society leader, whose salon drew Parisians from the leading literary and political circles of the early 19th century.
Français : Huile sur toile représentant Juliette Récamier (1777-1849). Ce tableau est attribué à Jacques-Louis David ou à l'atelier du peintre. Toutefois, cette œuvre ne représente pas vraiment Madame Récamier, guère ressemblant il est vrai, car une dame de ce rang n'aurait jamais posé nue et surtout les pieds sales. Ce serait une vengeance du peintre pour un tableau que le modèle aurait refusé auparavant. D'autre part, Jacques-Louis David n'était pas en très bons termes avec Juliette Récamier suite à une commande restée inachevée, pour de multiples raisons.
