Deutsch: Nutrias gehören in Deutschland (und überhaupt in der Alten Welt) zu den Neozoen. Ihre Heimat ist Südamerika. Als sich eine überwiegend von Pflanzen ernährende Art hält sich m. E. der "Schaden" den sie anrichten, in tolerierbaren Grenzen. Infolge der weiten Verbreitung ist ihr Vorkommen ohnehin nicht mehr zu löschen (um das negativ besetzte Wort "auszurotten" zu vermeiden). Ich erlebte die Begegnung mit einem "Wurf" jugendlicher Nutrias an einem naturbelassenen Abschnitt der Ehle bei Gerwisch, kurz vor der Mündung des Flüsschens in die Elbe so: An einem geschützten Platz am Ufer der Ehle gönnten sich fünf kleine Nutrias, offenbar Geschwister – nachdem sie ausgiebig umhergeschwommen und dann an Land gegangen waren, sich putzten und dabei kabbelten, aber auch mitunter gegenseitig halfen – gegen Mittag ein kleines Schläfchen. Die possierliche Gruppe vermittelt dem zufälligen Betrachter der Idylle ein Bild kindlicher Anmut in einem intakten Lebensraum. |
