Description
English: German navy Rear Adm. Karl-Wilhelm Bollow, German defense attaché, and U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Mel Williams Jr., commander of U.S. 2nd Fleet, shake hands after signing a mutual declaration of intent regarding the German navy frigate FGS Hessen (F 221) March 2, 2010, in Norfolk, Va.. Hessen is preparing to get under way from Wilhelmshaven, Germany, en route to the U.S. to conduct port visits and become a part of the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Carrier Strike Group.
