Description
English: WPA plaque on garage on National Guard Armory at 1600 Central Ave. in Kearney, Nebraska. The armory was constructed by the Works Progress Administration in 1936, in a style described as "WPA Moderne", combining elements of Art Deco, Streamline Moderne, and Neoclassical architecture. The garage was added in 1938. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
