Bahasa Indonesia: Kediaman Kwee didirikan tahun 1870 ketika pemerintah kolonial Belanda, memberikan jabatan sebagai Kapitein di Pecinan Pasuruan. Jabatan Kapitein tidak seperti Kapten kapal atau pesawat, melainkan jabatan sebagai penarik pajak dan surat keluar masuk di kampung Pecinan untuk diberitahukan kepada pemerintah kolonial Belanda. Rumah Kwee didirikan dengan Indische Empire Style atau lazim disebut sebagai Gaya Istana Campuran, yang trend di tahun 1830 di Batavia, Surabaya dan beberapa kota besar lainnya. Sisi belakang kediaman Kwee masih tersimpan pemakaman khusus untuk keluarga, lazim disebut Bong.
English: The Kwee residence was founded in 1870 when the Dutch colonial government gave it a position as a Kapitein in Pasuruan's Chinatown. The Kapitein position is not like the captain of a ship or plane, but rather a position as a tax collector and a letter in and out of Chinatown to be notified to the Dutch colonial government. Kwee's house was established with the Indische Empire Style or commonly referred to as the Mixed Palace Style, which was a trend in 1830 in Batavia, Surabaya and several other big cities. The back side of Kwee's residence still holds a special funeral for the family, commonly called Bong.
