Summary[edit]

Description
English: Kitchen renovation project. Here I am preparing to cut a 12" wide section of laminate countertop from the 4' wide board. I added thick black tape for the purpose of preventing chips from happening (in case the circular saw blade caught one piece which tore off another). Sometimes, when accuracy is paramount, I begin the tape measure not from the end, but from the 10" mark, so instead of 12" out, I look for 22"; the reason is sometimes the end clip of a tape measure can be off by a fraction of an inch.
