Kütahya City Museum Saddle maker

Summary[edit]

Description
English: A concept one can now see in many old towns all over Turkey is: restore an old mansion, thus showing the building style of old, add showcases with objects on the history of town, and then, using mannequins and old utensils, show old local arts and crafts. I found the Kütahya one particularly fine. This is a Saraç - saddlemaker. As the next picture shows another saddlemaker I can imagine this is more properly a harness maker, though he is named saddlemaker in the text above him.
