Description

L'entrée principale du centre vue de l'intérieur

Les 6 premières nervures sont inclinées vers l'intérieur et s'ouvrent en éventail. La 7ème nervure est verticale. En effet l'architecte voulait que les nervures soient visibles à l'intérieur du bâtiment comme elles le sont à l'extérieur.

La forme du bâtiment était préexistante dans le paysage. Nous avons donc commencé à "labourer la terre" comme des paysans plutôt que des architectes - jusqu'à ce que le paysage se transforme en bâtiment. (Renzo Piano)


Le Zentrum Paul Klee a été conçu par l'agence de l'architecte Renzo Piano (RPBW : Renzo Piano Building Workshop) associée à divers collaborateurs et architectes suisses, pour le compte d'un important mécène : la fondation Maurice E. et Martha Müller (Maurice E. Müller a été le chirurgien qui a inventé la prothèse de hanche).
