Summary[edit]

Description
English: Lady's Incline The course of the railway to Lord and Lady Pits. The brickwork indicates the location of the wheel pit at the top of the rope-worked incline. This was a self-acting incline, with the weight of loaded trucks running down the incline hauling up returning empties. It was converted to locomotive operation in 1889.
