Description
Français : Le ferry-boat côtier Dúgvan sortant du port de Tórshavn. Le Dúgvan a été construit en 1969, en Allemagne, par Dw Kremer Sohn GmbH & Co., Elmshorn sous le nom de M/S Schleswig-Holstein pour le compte de la compagnie Elbe-fähre afin de fournir un service de transport maritime dans l' embouchure de l' Elbe. En 1985, ce ferry a été vendu à la compagnie de navigation féroïenne Strandfaraskip Landsin qui l' a renommé Dúgvan et l' a exploité sur plusieurs trajets (Tórshavn - Strendur-Toftir et Klaksvik - Leirvik) jusqu'en 2006, date à laquelle le tunnel sous-marin entre Eysturoy et Borðoy est entré en service. En 2001, le Dúgvan a été modernisé (proue levante). Strandfaraskip Landsin a revendu le Dúgvan en 2006 à une compagnie maritime du Cap Vert. Le navire a été renommé Sal Rei. Le présent ferry mesure 61,73 mètres de long, 11,54 mètres de large et 4,02 mètres de haut. Il est équipé d' un moteur de 1839 kw. Il peut accueillir 400 passagers et 45 voitures. Sa vitesse est de 15 noeuds. IMO: 6908826.
