The nonprofit Lincoln Community Center Inc. was established in 1983 as a grassroots effort to restore the public purpose of the historic Lincoln School in the heart of Laramie's West Side neighborhood. With support from state, city, and private sources, renovation efforts began in 2010 and were completed in 2012. Lincoln Community Center Inc. has long worked from a philosophy that a strong community is essential to quality living. The center provides space where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together for social, cultural, educational, and other purposes. Most programs and services at the center are provided through integrated efforts with other local nonprofit organizations and agencies. Event space is also available.
