A perplexing plaque, ostensibly from English Heritage. However, I can find no record of a Lord Roberts of Macdonald when searching online, or in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, so I am unclear as to who this was (if indeed he is real). As far as I can tell, this building used to be a pub (or possibly a former off licence) called the Lord Roberts. (View of building.)
