Lot 9609-20: Royal Navy (British) during the First World War. German cruiser Dresden surrendered and on fire after engagement with Royal Navy cruisers at the Battle of Mas a Teierra, March 14, 1915. Only 8 of Dresden’s crew were killed in this battle. Dresden sank and remains off Robinson Crusoe Island. Collection was transferred from a British government source in 1920 to the Library of Congress. (9/18/2015).
