English: Maximtschuk relief in Lübben, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Germany. The bronze relief by Heinz Mamat is a listed cultural heritage monument.
Deutsch: Das Maximtschuk-Relief in Lübben, Landkreis Dahme-Spreewald, Brandenburg, Deutschland. Es handelt sich um ein Ehrenrelief für Pjotr Danilowitsch Maximtschuk. Der sowjetische Soldat wollte am 8. August 1965 im Lübbener Umflutkanal zwei Jugendliche retten, wobei er tödlich verunglückte. Die Kinder konnten sich schließlich selbst retten. Für seine mutige Tat wurde dem Soldaten an der Unglücksstelle ein Gedenkstein errichtet. Zusätzlich wurde 1968 das von Heinz Mamat geschaffene Bronzerelief, das den Hergang in Bildern erzählt, an der Schule aufgestellt. Das Kunstwerk steht unter Denkmalschutz. |
