This movies shows the M1.1 (GOES X-ray class) flare that occurred on September 10, 2011 from 07:23 - 07:49 UT in NOAA Active Region 11283. The left and right images are taken almost simultaneously with the same field of view. The righthand images are taken through thicker analysis filters and with shorter exposure times than those in the left panel, allowing for observations of both the detailed structure of the bright flare kernel (right images) and the faint surrounding loops (left images).
