Description
English: Plaque in the median of the intersection of State and Lodge streets, Albany. The plaque reads: "The market house was erected in 1704 located in the center of State Street, west of James Street The market was a wooden structure, open on all sides. It featured a number of stalls with heavy tables for the selling of all types of produce. Market days were held on Wednesdays and Saturdays."
