Description
Deutsch: Ein Mengerschwamm und Raytracing-Effekten. Im Koordinatenursprung (Zentrum des Mengerschwamms) ist eine Lichtquelle. Das Bild soll die Funktionalität des Raytracings (Ambient Occlusion) visualisieren und die daraus resultierende Schattenwirkung. Der Boden, auf dem der Mengerschwamm steht, tangiert die Unterseite des Fraktals. Das Hauptlicht ist links über dem Boden (sodass der Schatten hinter das IFS geworfen wird).
English: A Menger sponge with raytracing. In the sponge-center is a light source. The image illustrates the functionality of raytracing by computers and the resultating shadow position and orientation. The bottom touches on the Menger sponge. The main light source is on the left over the bottom so that the shadow is behind (right to the Menger sponge) the IFS fractal.
