Description

Saint Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan, County Monaghan, Ireland

English: Signature “KT” at the rear side of the statue St. Macartan and the Prince in front of the cathedral, depicting the first bishop of Clogher and Prince Cairbre who was converted to christianity by St. Marcartan. Sculpted by Ken Thompson from Ballytrasna, County Cork, and unveiled on 5 September 2004 by Bishop Joseph Duffy. See St. Macartan, Patron Saint of the Diocese of Clogher.
