Summary[edit]

Description
English: The nameplate stone of the former Monument National Canadien Français d'Holyoke. Built in 1904 it was once a thriving center of New England French culture and a regular stop for city office candidates as well as the French theater scene. The building however was demolished in 1985 following a case of suspected arson, by which time its French-Canadian roots had largely been forgotten and was known by its last occupant restaurant, Kelley's Lobster House.
