მტირალას ეროვნული პარკი კავკასიის სამხრეთ-დასავლეთ ნაწილში, მცირე კავკასიონის, სახელდობრ აჭარა-იმერეთის ქედის უკიდურეს დასავლეთ ნაწილში, ქობულეთ-ჩაქვის ქედზე - შავი ზღვის სიახლოვეს მდებარეობს. მისი საერთო ფართობი 15698,8 ჰა-ს შეადგენს. მტირალას ეროვნული პარკის ტერიტორია ქობულეთის, ხელვაჩაურისა და ქედის მუნიციპალიტეტებს შორისაა მოქცეული. ადმინისტრაციული შენობა დაბა ჩაქვში, ხოლო ვიზიტორთა ცენტრი კი ადმინისტრაციული ცენტრიდან 15 კმ-ით დაშორებულ სოფ. ჩაქვისთავში მდებარეობს. ვიზიტორთა ცენტრის საექსპოზიციო და საპრეზენტაციო დარბაზში ვიზიტორს საშუალება აქვს გაეცნოს მტირალას ეროვნული პარკის სპეციფიკას, მომსახურებებს, ტარიფებს, ტურებს და აირჩიოს მისთვის სასურველი ვარიანტი.

მტირალას ეროვნული პარკში ფუნქციონირებს ერთ და 2-დღიანი ტურისტული მარშრუტები. ბილიკები მარკირებული და კეთილმოწყობილია. მოწყობილია საპიკნიკე და საკემპინგე ადგილები, გამოყოფილია ადგილები კოცონის დასანთებად, ასევე ბილიკის მე-9 კმ-ზე არის ტურისტული თავშესაფარი. ეროვნული პარკი ვიზიტორებს სალაშქრო, საცხენოსნო, სამეცნიერო და ეკო-ტურებს სთავაზობს.
