Summary[edit]

Description

During the 1800’s the Oregon Trail, Mormon Trail, California Trail and the Pony Express Trail all converged along the North Platte River. Today, the North Platte River is considered a Blue Ribbon Trout Stream, with approximately 4,000 trout per mile. Anglers come from across the globe to try their hand at fishing along Trappers Route, near Casper.
