Summary[edit]

Description
English: The south entrance to the National Gallery of Art's West Building, located between the 400–700 blocks of Madison Drive, N.W., on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The Neoclassical-style museum was built in 1941 to the designs of noted architect John Russell Pope. The West Building is listed on the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites, and is designated as a contributing property to the National Mall's listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
