Description
English: Nazar eye in the Netherlands.
Nederlands: 'Ogen voor het Oosten' ( 2000) in opdracht van Stadgenoot gemaakt door Maria Roosen (1957).

Het kunstwerk bestaat uit een serie handgeblazen glazen oogbollen, neergelegd op twee parallel geplaatste roestvrijstalen rekken op de binnenplaats van het kantoor van Stadgenoot in de Sarphatistraat. Inspiratie voor haar ontwerp kreeg Maria Roosen in Turkije, waar je overal glazen ogen tegenkomt. De irissen hebben verschillende kleuren; soms heeft een bol meerdere irissen. Edit: 8-12-2011.

Op de binnenplaats van het voormalig Ryksmagazyn van Geneesmiddelen, nu hoofdkantoor van woningcoöperatie Stadgenoot.
