| Description |
Nederlands: Kadasterkaart uit 1812-1819 van de dorpskernen van Veur en Leidschendam, die tegenover elkaar aan het Rijn-Schiekanaal lagen. Veur was een aparte gemeente en lag ten westen van het kanaal; Leidschendam lag ten oosten van het kanaal en maakte deel uit van de gemeente Stompwijk. In 1938 fuseerde de gemeenten Veur en Stompwijk en vormden de nieuwe gemeente Leidschendam. Op de kaart staat ook de zgn. Kleine Starrevaartpolder; daar ligt nu het wijkje "De Tol".
De tekst op de kaart luidt (spelfouten weergegeven): Tekst linksboven: (Doorgestreept: SUBDIVISION de SECTN H de la commune de LEIDSCHENDAM) commencé le 16 Août et achevé le 1e Septembre 1812. Levé par le sousigné Geomètre Secondaire Dl. Múnro van Filpen. (Tekst rechtsboven:) Gemeente Stompwijk Sectie F en H Blad 1 en Veur B 2e blad Ont(?). (Tekst linksonder:) Gemeente Stompwijk Sectie F en H genaamd Leijdschen Dam, Eerste Blad. Opgemeten in den Jare 1812 door den Landmeter der Tweede Klasse Dl. Múnro van Filpen. Herzien en Gecompleteerd in den Jare 1819 door mij, Landmeter der Eerste klasse van het Kadaster W.J. van Campen. Sectie F van 1 tot 248; Sectie H van 1 tot 37. Gecarteerd naar de Schaal van 1 a 1250 Ellen. English: Cadastral map of 1812-1819 of the villages of Veur and Leidschendam (province of South Holland, Netherlands) that were lying on opposite shores of the Rijn-Schie canal. Veur was a municipality, lying west of the canal; Leidschendam lay east of the canal and was part of the municipality of Stompwijk. In 1938 they merged and formed the new municipality of Leidschendam. Leidschendam later merged with Voorburg (in 2002). |
