| Description |
English: North Bridge. The rock that carries the Old Town is connected with the outside world by bridges, giving Edinburgh a confusing three dimensional layout.
North Bridge , shown here crosses a void occupied by Waverley Station. The other bridges are ordinary streets, you would be oblivious to the fact that the shop frontages are 3rd or 4th storey. Beyond the bridge, cranes are poised over the new City Council offices site on New Street. |
