13 AU 16 NOVEMBRE AU GRAND PALAIS 143 GALERIES DONT 34 NOUVELLES PARTICIPANTES 35 PAYS REPRESENTES Succès marchand, public et critique pour la 18ème édition de Paris Photo qui confirme ainsi sa place de première foire mondiale dédiée à la photographie. Paris Photo et son directeur, Julien Frydman, dédient cette édition à Lucien Clergue, co-fondateur des Rencontres d’Arles. Paris Photo 2014 a comptabilisé 59 825 entrées en 5 jours au Grand Palais. Paris Photo a été inaugurée le mercredi 12 novembre par Fleur Pellerin, Ministre de la culture et de la communication. Pour cette édition focus sur la Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac qui participait au salon pour la première fois cette année et les habitués de la foire avec la Galerie Suzanne Tarasiève et la Galerie des Filles du Calvaire Au total, plus de 200 photographes étaient présents, notamment pour des signatures dont Erwin Olaf, Martin Parr, Mona Kuhn et les jeunes talents Mazaccio & Drawilal. Prix du livre photographique Paris Photo-Fondation Aperture Hidden Islam de Nicoló Degiorgis Grâce à Quentin Bajac, conservateur en chef de la photographie au Museum of Modern Art assurait le commissariat de l’exposition des acquisitions du célèbre musée New Yorkais, permettant d’avoir un aperçu de la collection de photographies internationales. La jeune scène de la photographie était soutenue par les partenaires de Paris Photo avec SFR jeune talents,BMW et Leica. Pour sa chronique Solenne a rencontré Laurent Abadjian, rédacteur en chef photo de Télérama, afin d’avoir le point vue d’un spécialiste pour se repérer dans l’édition 2014 de Paris Photo.
