Português: Estas são imagens com pinhole mais pequeno (à direita) e outro mais largo (à esquerda). Como se pode ver, à esquerda, há luz de fundo, o que leva a uma pior definição.
English: Effect of the pinhole in confocal microscopy: Same objekt, left in normal widefield mode (pinhole wide open) and right in confocal mode (pinhole closed) and therefore reduced background.
Deutsch: Effekt des Pinholes beim konfokalen Mikroskop: Gleiches Objekt, links im normalen Weitfeldmodus (geöffnetes Pinhole) und rechts im konfokalen Modus (stark geschlossenes Pinhole) und dadurch stark vermindertem Hintergrund.
