| Description |
Português: Construído em 1853, como resistência familiar, foi vendido para a família imperial em 1864. A residência foi reformada para abrigar a Princesa Isabel e o Conde D’Eu, passando a ser conhecida como Paço Isabel. Durante a reforma, o casal plantou inúmeras espécies vegetais exóticas, além de uma fileira dupla de palmeiras imperiais na Rua Paissandu, que marcava o caminho do Paço até a praia do Flamengo. Em 1890, o Paço Isabel foi incorporado ao Patrimônio da União e rebatizado como Palácio Guanabara. Em 1908 passou por uma reforma radical que lhe deu o aspecto (eclético) atual. Foi repartição militar, morada de Presidentes da República, abrigou o gabinete do Prefeito do Rio e, em 1960, passou a ser sede do Governo do Estado.
